“Nicht auf Touristen ausgelegt, sondern die Lodge der Soda Ash Mine. Man hat uns ausnahmsweise nach viel überreden übernachten lassen, obwohl wir bei Expedia gebucht und bezahlt hatten, mußten wir nochmal bezahlen. Leider wurden wir von Expedia nicht informiert, dass es keine Geschäftsbeziehung gibt.”

“Bereits an der Hauptstraße B300 gibt es eine Beschilderung zur Lodge. Die ca. 70 km lange Anfahrt erfolgt über eine Sandpiste, die nur mit einem Allradfahrzeug zu bewältigen ist. Die Begrüßung war sehr persönlich und das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die angebotenen Aktivitäten wurden sehr individuell durchgeführt. Die Ausstattung des Luxuszeltes war hervorragend. Alles super sauber. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Alle Getränke auch tagsüber waren inklusiv.”

“Cosa possiamo dire della struttura, visto che è stato impossibile arrivarci a causa dell'acqua che allagava il perscorso? Cosa possiamo dire della struttura che abbiamo tentato di contattare telefonicamente senza ricevere risposta alcuna? E per finire ... il pagamento. Ovviamente non rimborsabile. Una totale presa in giro per non usare parole più pesanti.”

“I had two flat tires before arriving and the staff were incredible in helping me get them fixed and on my car. The tour of the bird sanctuary they conducted was also amazing. Excellent for such a remote location.”

“Fantastic lodge in cool leafy surrounds....clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet and fully equipped. The included breakfast was superb! We really enjoyed chatting with the hostess and learning about living in the area.....strong recommendation! ”

“Notre nuit de camping au Pelican Lodge and Camping s'est finalement transformée en nuit en chambre très confortable après un enlisement de notre 4x4 dans le Nata Bird Sanctuary situé à une dizaine de kilomètre du lodge. L'accueil a été parfait et toute l'équipe du Pelican Lodge and Camping s'est mobilisée pour nous aider dans notre galère. On y a passé un bon moment et cela nous à permis de rencontrer et discuter avec les guides locaux qui sont géniaux et nous ont vraiment aider. Le personnel...

“We arrived at a closed reception and were the only people in the camp. A young girl came walking up and showed us our tent. The tent, bedding etc. were clean, with a small flash light as the only means of light. The ablution had no water, and the toilets had no seats. There was a care taker who called the owner when we asked, and he then instructed the care taker to turn the water on. When we asked about warm water he said the care taker will boil some water on the fire and we had to bath in...
